- Climate – The CSIRO and Standford University have both declared Yamba to have the best climate in the world. This title is also shared with San Diego, California and Bunbury in Western Australia. With summer temperature ranging from 19 to 30 degrees Celsius making Yamba a very attractive tourist destination during the school Christmas break. Subtropical storms also tend to hit the area in January and February on days when temperatures break into the 30 plus range with high levels of humidity.
